About CAT

  • The Common Admission Test (CAT) is one of the top management entrance tests in India, conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). Both IIMs and several top business schools in India accept the CAT for admission to their 2-year full time postgraduate programs in management. The CAT question paper consists of the following sections:

Quantitative Aptitude (QA) 34 60 minutes
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) 32 60 minutes
Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC) 34 60 minutes
Total 100 180
  • Candidates are given 180 minutes to answer the questions. Each section is allotted 60 minutes. The candidates cannot choose any section to start with or switch from one section to another. They haveto follow the question paper chronologically, from section 1-3. The exam is conducted in an online format.
